Royal Air Maroc Announces Repatriation Flights for Stranded Moroccans from Turkey and Portugal

The airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) provides details on the special flights scheduled from Turkey and Portugal to Morocco, in order to allow the return to Morocco of Moroccans stranded abroad following the extension of the suspension of air links.
"The special flights from Turkey and Portugal to Morocco are accessible to all Moroccans stranded abroad regardless of their country of origin," says Royal Air Maroc on its Twitter account. However, eligibility conditions for these flights have been defined. Only Moroccans residing in Morocco, who have left Morocco since October 1, 2021, as well as their accompanying spouses and children, can benefit from this repatriation operation.
They must present, at check-in, their national identity card or passport, proving their address in Morocco, as well as a PCR test less than 48 hours old; justify a negative PCR test less than 48 hours old; undergo PCR tests every 48 hours in the dedicated hotels and undergo a quarantine period (7 days) at the expense of the Moroccan government. In addition, any person who tests positive at the airport or at the hotel will be taken care of by the competent health authorities.
On Monday, the Interministerial Committee for Monitoring Covid authorized, on an exceptional basis, passenger flights to the Kingdom from Portugal, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, in order to allow the return to Morocco of Moroccan citizens who actually reside there and who have recently left the national territory, after the extension of the suspension of air links until December 31.
