Royal Air Maroc Schedules Limited Flights as Morocco Extends Airspace Closure

Following the decision of the National Airports Office to extend the closure of the airspace until January 31, 2022, the airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has just announced the scheduling of several flights departing from Morocco and destined for four countries.
In a message posted on its Twitter account, the Moroccan airline announces that flights (subject to authorization) are planned for Belgium, Spain, France, Italy and Mauritania. The details of these flights should be given later.
"It should be noted that our exceptional flights scheduled between December 24 and 31, 2021 only from Morocco are maintained," RAM wrote.
Due to the rapid spread of the new Covid-19 variant - Omicron (B.1.1.529), particularly in Europe and Africa, and in order to preserve the gains made by Morocco in the fight against the pandemic and protect the health of citizens, the Moroccan authorities had decided to suspend all direct passenger flights to the Kingdom of Morocco, for a period of 2 weeks, from Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11:59 pm. Since that date, the deadline had first been extended until December 31 and then until January 31.
