Royal Air Maroc Expands Eligibility for Special Flights to Morocco from UAE, Portugal, and Turkey

The national airline has updated the eligibility conditions for special flights departing from the United Arab Emirates, Portugal and Turkey to Morocco in order to allow the return to the kingdom of other Moroccans residing there who have recently left the national territory.
Previously accessible to Moroccans residing in Morocco who had left the kingdom since October 1, 2021, the special flights departing from the United Arab Emirates, Portugal and Turkey to Morocco are now accessible to citizens as well as their spouses, and their accompanying children who have left the country since September 1, 2021, Royal Air Maroc said in a message posted on its Twitter account.
These people must present their national identity card or passport proving their address as well as a PCR test less than 48 hours old. They will undergo PCR tests every 48 hours in the hotels where they will be confined (at the expense of the State) for 7 days. The competent health authorities will take care of the people who test positive at the airport or at the hotel.
As of December 23, 2021, no special flight will be organized to allow Moroccans actually residing in Morocco and stranded abroad to return to the national territory. On Monday, the Moroccan authorities exceptionally authorized passenger flights to the kingdom from Portugal, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, before announcing that they would end this system as early as next Thursday. Consequently, the Moroccans concerned must make the necessary arrangements for their return, before this date.
