Rising Star Bilal El Khannouss Wins Belgian Golden Shoe Youth Award

Moroccan international Bilal El Khannouss who plays for KRC Genk, received the award for the hope of the year. With 355 points, the Moroccan player is rewarded for his performances with his club.
At 18 years old, Bilal El Khannouss is a player with huge potential. He was one of the surprises on Wali Regragui’s list for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. At Genk this season, he has been a starter 18 times out of the 20 matches played and has stood out for his talent and ability to occupy his position as an attacking midfielder. This is what earned him this distinction, reports rtbf.be.
Last November, just days before the start of the World Cup, the player opted for Morocco over Belgium. Faced with criticism, Bilal El Khannouss stressed that he chose to play for Morocco for his grandparents, whom he hopes to make proud.
