Moroccan Prodigy Bilal El Khannouss to Stay at KRC Genk, Despite European Interest

The technical director of KRC Genk, Dimitri De Condé, announced that the Moroccan Bilal El Khannouss will not be transferred during the next summer market.
Bilal El Khannouss is attracting the interest of several major European clubs, but KRC Genk does not intend to part with its Moroccan prodigy in the next summer transfer window. "Bilal will remain in Genk next season anyway. The following year, the story will be completely different, with the hope of a good transfer for him. All the big European clubs know him. Is it possible to sell this summer and loan him back? It’s possible, but clubs often only want to do that to keep the price at a low level. Even in this case, they will have to pay the fair price," the technical director hinted in an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws.
Bilal El Khannouss will therefore remain in Limburg until next season. The Moroccan is also making a name for himself internationally with the Atlas Lions. "That Bilal shines for Morocco against Brazil is fantastic, but for us it was not a big surprise. The higher the pace, the more comfortable Bilal is. That’s what makes him a great talent," he said.
