Morocco’s World Cup Star Bilal El Khannouss Named Belgium’s Top Rookie

Young revelation with Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, Bilal El Khannouss is also doing wonders with KRC Genk with performances that earned him the Dominique D’Onofrio award.
So young and already very talented. After being named Young Player of the Year in Belgium, Bilal El Khannouss has just received the award for best rookie (rookie) of the Jupiler Pro League. At 18, he has become the youngest Moroccan player to participate in a football World Cup. He was also the author of an assist during Morocco’s friendly match against Brazil (2-1).
For his future, Bilal El Khannouss has big ambitions and would like to join one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, Real Madrid. "In the long term, I would like to play for Real Madrid. It’s my dream club. I’ve been a fan of this club since I was a kid. But a transfer from Genk to Madrid seems complicated to me. I’ll have to take a step up," he told Eleven Be.
For the second friendly match against Peru, Walid Regragui announced in a press conference the start of the young player.
