Repeat Offenders Arrested for Knife Attack on Police Officer in Tétouan

Two repeat offender brothers guilty of attempted theft and knife attack against a police officer were arrested on Friday, November 23 in Tétouan.
The arrest of one of the suspects was made with the collaboration of two police officers who are part of the officials responsible for the safety and security of sensitive sites in Tétouan. These elements intervened to subdue the accused who had tried to steal an individual under the threat of a knife, according to a statement from the DGSN.
The DGSN specified that the accused put up fierce resistance to the two peace officers. One of them was seriously injured in the hand and head. According to the same source, the intervention of the injured policeman made it possible to neutralize the suspect, before his arrest in possession of the weapon of the crime.
In addition, the brother, an accomplice of the violent theft, was also apprehended. These criminal acts were recorded in a video widely circulated on social networks, the same source pointed out.
As for the two accused, in their thirties, they were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation led under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office near the Court of Appeal of Tétouan to elucidate the ins and outs of this case.
