Repeat Offender Arrested in Morocco for Armed Pharmacy Robbery

A repeat offender, aged 41, was arrested on Monday evening for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery case at a pharmacy. The operation was jointly carried out by elements of the judicial police brigade of Ouazzane and those of the city of Mechra Bel Ksiri.
The defendant was apprehended on board a car of dubious origin, in the city of Mechra Bel Ksiri. The offense for which he is wanted dates back to mid-January, in the city of Ouazzane, where, threatening with a bladed weapon, he stole the sum of 2,500 dirhams from a pharmacy, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
Prior to this theft case, the suspect was the subject of a national search warrant, issued by the Laayayda police in Salé, for a case of issuing checks without provision. Immediately after his arrest, he was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation opened, in order to elucidate the ins and outs of this case.
The search continues to arrest two other accomplices of these criminal acts.
