Two Suspects Arrested in Oujda for Woman’s Suspicious Death After Fall

A man and a woman, aged 23 and 25 respectively, were arrested on Tuesday by the judicial police elements of the city of Oujda. According to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the two accused have multiple criminal records, and would be involved in a case of assault and battery resulting in death.
It all started on February 6, when the security services found several suspicious injuries on the body of a woman, following her fall from the first floor of a house, in Hay Nahda. The investigations then revealed the alleged presence of the accused at the crime scene.
According to the DGSN, the arrested man and the deceased were involved in a dispute and the circumstances in which the body was found suggest a criminal act.
At the time of the arrest, one of the accused tried to flee, forcing a police officer to fire a shot, without causing any damage or injury.
The two suspects were placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the ins and outs of this case and to measure the level of involvement of each of the accused in these criminal acts.
