Sub-Saharan Migrants Arrested in Fatal Knife Attack in Meknes, Morocco

Twelve sub-Saharan nationals, including two women, were arrested on Wednesday evening by elements of the prefectural judicial police service in Meknes. They would be involved in a case of assault and battery with a knife that resulted in the death of a person.
According to the information provided by the national security services, it all started with a dispute that very early on led to a physical assault with a knife that resulted in the victim’s death upon arrival at the emergency room. A press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) stresses that a field operation led to the arrest of all the suspects and the seizure of the knife used in this crime.
The initial investigation indicates that "among the arrested persons, two were directly involved, while the other ten are suspected of having participated in the assault and violence inflicted on the victim, which proved fatal".
The accused were taken into custody, at the disposal of the investigation opened to "identify the ins and outs of this case".
