Police Officer in Agadir Arrested for False Drug Report and Evidence Planting

Two individuals, including a chief brigadier, have been the subject of a preliminary investigation opened by the judicial police in the city of Agadir since Thursday. They would be involved in cases of drug possession, reporting a fictitious crime and humiliation of the judicial police.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that the police officer in question had informed the elements of the anti-gang brigade of the prefecture of Agadir that a search operation had allowed him to discover a small quantity of cannabis, about 20 grams, in the vehicle of a woman.
But the research and investigations carried out by the anti-gang brigade revealed that the seized drug would have been placed in the trunk of this woman’s car by her ex-husband, with the complicity of the police officer. The aim was to trap the woman and report a fictitious crime for which she would be convicted, in view of the relentless fight waged by the authorities against drug trafficking and other narcotics, reports Map.
The accused were taken into custody. The young woman, for her part, was heard as a victim of these criminal acts. The ongoing investigation will be able to determine the ins and outs of this case.
