The judicial police elements of Laâyoune, in coordination with their colleagues from the city of Tiflet, proceeded on Sunday, November 10 to the arrest of a 26-year-old woman. She is accused of having reported a fictitious crime of kidnapping.
She is paying the price for reporting a fictitious crime of kidnapping. The national security services had carefully watched and worked on a video reporting a fictitious crime, broadcast on social networks, according to a statement from the [General Directorate of National Security (DGSN)].
In this video, a woman claimed that her daughter, married and mother of three children, was the victim of a kidnapping and sequestration near Tiflet.
The investigations of the police elements made it possible to discover that the alleged kidnapped woman was in Laâyoune. Moreover, there is no suspicion of a crime in her disappearance, specifies the same source.
The woman who was allegedly kidnapped had indeed voluntarily left the family home and taken her personal belongings with her before heading to the city of Laâyoune. And it was there that she recorded a video sequence that she sent to her mother, in which she claimed to be the victim of kidnapping and sequestration, adds the same source.
For now, a judicial investigation has been opened against the person concerned, as well as against the person who welcomed her in Laâyoune, a 20-year-old individual, in order to determine the ins and outs of this case, as well as the motives for this act.
