Repeat Offender Arrested in Casablanca for Knife Attack on Ex-Wife

A 36-year-old repeat offender was arrested on Wednesday in Casablanca for his alleged involvement in a case of assault with a knife against his ex-wife, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The judicial police brigade of the Al Fida Mers Sultan police district in Casablanca did not have much difficulty in apprehending this individual in the early hours of Wednesday, reports the MAP.
The 36-year-old man, a repeat offender in cases of indecent assault, rape, drug use, public drunkenness and manifest, humiliation and violent theft, had fled just after physically assaulting his ex-wife with a knife on September 8, due to family disputes and an exchange of accusations between the two parties. In his flight, he was arrested in the Sidi Rahal region near Casablanca, the same source specifies.
For the purposes of the investigation opened in this regard, the accused was placed in custody in order to determine all the criminal acts with which he is charged.
