Renault Tanger: After Intense Tensions, Agreement Seals Salary Increases for 2026

After a period of heightened tensions and a freeze on discussions, the management of the Renault plant in Tanger and the Moroccan Workers’ Union concluded an agreement providing substantial salary increases for 2026.

The automotive plant recently experienced a highly strained social climate. Faced with a deadlock in negotiations concerning the improvement of employees’ material conditions, the union office enacted a freeze on social partnership and boycott of all meetings with management. This movement ultimately resulted in the recent validation of a comprehensive list of demands as part of the resumption of social dialogue.
