Things Heat Up at Renault Tangier
The Renault production site in Tangier is in crisis. The union has frozen its relations with management following the failure of wage negotiations, paving the way for future protest actions.
The breakdown was formalized following a fruitless meeting held on Wednesday, April 15 with the production director. According to a union statement, this exchange resulted in no concrete progress regarding wage increases for workers. Staff representatives denounce the intransigence of management in the face of their demands. They note that "the administration showed a rigid attitude and rejected all proposals," plunging social dialogue into a complete deadlock.

Faced with this failure, worker representatives have officially suspended the social partnership and are now boycotting all meetings with management. The union bureau is preparing the imminent announcement of a "progressive action program" whose operational details remain to be clarified.
