Record Attendance at Marrakech Airport (Paris Leading the Way)

Marrakech-Menara Airport confirms its role as a tourism engine. In the first quarter of 2026, attendance surged nearly 12%, driven by marked growth in international connections and domestic flights.

Data published by the National Airport Authority (ONDA) highlight the excellent health of the Marrakech hub. Between January and end of March 2026, more than 2.78 million travelers transited through it, compared to just under 2.5 million the previous year during the same period, representing overall growth of 11.68%. March alone shows this sharp acceleration with more than one million passengers welcomed, marking a jump of 13.70% year-over-year.

This influx rests on widespread increase in activity. International traffic logically drives statistics upward with more than 2.68 million people transported, marking growth of 10.99%. Domestic connections are keeping pace: although their volumes are naturally lower with 104,109 travelers recorded, they show very marked growth of 36.47% over the quarter.

The destination’s appeal is confirmed in the ranking of most popular routes in March. The Marrakech - Paris-Orly route thus ranks as the country’s second busiest air route, followed by the London-Gatwick line, while service from Paris-CDG closes this top 5 dominated by the Casablanca-Jeddah route. A local dynamic that fits perfectly into the kingdom’s overall trend, with Morocco’s airports approaching 8.9 million passengers over these first three months, growing by 11.15%.
