Ramadan 2026: Bnate Lalla Mennana Returns to 2M in Historic Comeback
The second national channel 2M has unveiled its schedule for Ramadan 2026, marked by a strategy focused on local production and the return of the cult series « Bnate Lalla Mennana ». Meanwhile, satellite channel MBC5 is taking a bold gamble with a Moroccan adaptation of the Lebanese hit « Al Hayba ».
The battle for viewership during the holy month has begun. In a statement released this week, 2M confirmed its commitment to a « 100% Moroccan » lineup for its breaking-of-the-fast segment (Ftour), a strategic time slot in terms of market share.

The highlight of this schedule is the return of the hit series « Bnate Lalla Mennana ». The third season, broadcast daily at 18h40, brings together the original cast (Samia Akarriou, Nora Skalli, Saâdia Ladib) for a storyline set twenty years after the previous events. It will be preceded at 18h25 by the humorous segment « Yawmiyat Mahjouba wa Tibariya », led by Dounia Boutazout, and followed at 19h25 by the fiction series « Hikayate Chama ».

The evening schedule alternates between drama and entertainment: Driss Roukh’s series « Al Berrani » on Monday, the thriller about the world of influencers « Lilli Touil » on Thursday, and comedy appointments at the weekend with « Aire de repos » and the sitcom « Ba Lahbib ». Salim Cheikh, the channel’s director general, reaffirmed the desire to « highlight the expertise of Moroccan professionals ».
On the satellite competition front, MBC5 is preparing a major counterattack with « Ras Jbal ». This project is the Moroccan remake of the pan-Arab hit series « Al Hayba ». Filmed under tight deadlines with an exclusively Moroccan cast, this adaptation has sparked strong interest in its ability to transpose the world of the Cheikh Al-Jabal clan into the local context.
