Chaâbane begins this Wednesday, Ramadan in a month
The first day of the month of Chaâbane of the year 1447 of the Hegira corresponds to Wednesday, January 21, announced the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs on Monday. Ramadan begins therefore in exactly one month.
In a statement, the ministry indicates that it observed the crescent moon of the month of Chaâbane this Monday, January 29, 1447 of the Hegira, corresponding to January 19, 2026, after sunset, specifying that "all the delegates of the ministry in the Kingdom and the units of the Royal Armed Forces associated with the observation have confirmed the non-observation of the crescent moon".
The 1st of Chaabane will correspond to Wednesday, January 21, 2026, it is added.
Less than 30 days separate the Moroccans from the month of Ramadan. This year, Ramadan should begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026, according to astronomical calculations. However, this date will have to be confirmed in Morocco by the Ministry of Habous.
