Rabat Prepares 15+ Gymnasiums for COVID-Safe Baccalaureate Exams in July

The government has decided to organize the BAC exams while respecting the restrictive measures issued by the health authorities. In this regard, more than 15 gymnasiums will be selected in Rabat to host the 2019-2020 baccalaureate exams, exceptionally scheduled for July due to the covid-19 pandemic.

For these exceptional exams, the Ministry of National Education, in addition to the exam rooms, will use these sports spaces for the baccalaureate exams in Rabat in order to protect the candidates against the risks of contamination, reports the MAP.

In an interview, Mohamed Aderdour, director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, specified that these spaces meet the prevention conditions in terms of area and ventilation.

University amphitheaters will also be mobilized and will be limited to 10 students instead of 20 in the past. In addition, precautionary measures will be put in place, following the observance of the health protocol relating to the sterilization and distribution of masks, as well as all the necessary means of protection, to ensure good organization of the exams under the best conditions. In detail, the exam will be organized this year in two stages to avoid the large influx inside the exam centers and to promote the conditions of social distancing.

Regarding the first stage, students from literary, human science and traditional education streams will take the exams on July 3 and 4, while the second stage will include students from scientific, technical and vocational baccalaureate streams, from July 6 to 8.

As for the results of the normal baccalaureate session, they will be announced no later than July 15, before the preparation of the makeup session, which will take place from July 22 to 24, all streams combined. Furthermore, the announcement of the final results is scheduled for July 29.
