Over 440,000 Students to Take Morocco’s 2020 Baccalaureate Exam Amid Pandemic Measures
The number of regularly registered candidates for the baccalaureate (various branches) this year is 441,000 candidates.
The 2020 baccalaureate exam in Morocco will have a special character due to the coronavirus pandemic. For these exceptional exams, the Ministry of National Education will requisition certain sports spaces that will be added to the traditional exam rooms.
As for the free candidates, they amount to 122,000. Pending the official figures announced by the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, during his presentation to the Government Council on June 18, the government has taken new exceptional measures to ensure the smooth running of the exams.
In addition to the gymnasiums and amphitheaters rented for the occasion, this year the exam subjects will only cover the courses given in person before the date of suspension of studies, i.e. March 14. In this regard, all candidates for the baccalaureate exams have received a copy of the reference frameworks on their personal email address "Taalim.ma". Specification tables have been added to the reference framework documents for the baccalaureate exams. They specify the chapters on which the baccalaureate exams will be based.
As for the make-up session exams, they will take place from July 22 to 24, all branches combined. The results of the make-up session will be announced on July 29, 2020.
