PSG Enlists Hakimi in Pursuit of Amrabat, Challenging Liverpool’s Lead

Sofyan Amrabat, one of the main architects of the Moroccan team’s breakthrough at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, is on the radar of several European clubs who want to recruit him in the next transfer window. His teammate Achraf Hakimi would be helping PSG to sign him to cut the grass under the feet of Liverpool who seem to be in pole position to recruit the Lion of the Atlas.
Has PSG turned to its star Achraf Hakimi in its attempt to sign Sofyan Amrabat before Liverpool, currently the favorite in the race? The Ligue 1 champions have turned to the Moroccan right-back to help them bring his teammate, the Fiorentina midfielder whose contract expires in June 2024, to Paris, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. His club, for its part, is demanding 45 million euros to let its star leave.
PSG could afford Sofyan’s services before Liverpool, who have not yet been able to make an interesting offer to the Italian club’s management. In addition, the Parisian club is currently looking for smart signings rather than superstar names, and the 26-year-old player could be a nice option, due to his good performances at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. At PSG, financial means are not lacking.
