Liverpool and Atlético Madrid Battle for World Cup Star Sofyan Amrabat

While Liverpool is determined to secure the services of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat who shone during the 2022 Qatar World Cup before the end of the January transfer window, the Moroccan international is interested in Atlético Madrid.
Liverpool is not letting go of Sofyan Amrabat. In search of a midfielder in January to strengthen his team, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has met with the representative of the Fiorentina midfielder, reports Mirror. But Liverpool’s attempts to sign the Moroccan international seem to have failed, as the 26-year-old player is showing interest in Atlético Madrid, a club he admires, reports Foot Mercato.
"What Simeone does, what he has accomplished... He has coached Atlético Madrid for many years. I like his style of play. He has won a lot and I have a lot of respect for him. The players on his team are physically strong and aggressive. I like to play that way," Sofyan had said in an interview with Marca last month.
