Tottenham Leads Race for World Cup Star Amrabat as Transfer Window Opens

Sofyan Amrabat, one of the main architects of Morocco’s run at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, is on Tottenham’s radar. The latter is in pole position to sign him during the January 2023 transfer window.
After his brilliant participation in the World Cup in Qatar, Sofyan Amrabat is of interest to several clubs. Among them, Tottenham. The English club is in "pole position" to sign the Fiorentina midfielder, whose contract expires in June 2024, and who is also on Liverpool’s radar, reports Sport Witness. His club is demanding 45 million euros to let him go.
Tuttosport director Guido Vaciago describes Sofyan as a "crazy player" due to his good performances at the Qatar 2022 World Cup and at the level of his club. He won more possessions. The Moroccan international ranks in the top: 3% for progressive passes, 5% for pass completion, 11% for blocks and 13% for successful passes of all his positional peers in the top five European leagues over the past year (FBRef).
The Guardian describes Sofyan as the "driving force" of the Moroccan team that reached the semi-finals of a World Cup for the first time in its history.
