Prison Director Denies Special Treatment for High-Profile Inmates in Moroccan "Hamza mon bb" Case

Hassan Houzane, director of the penitentiary, denied the allegations that Ibtissam Batma and Soukaina Glamour, convicted in the "Hamza mon bb" case, benefit from preferential treatment in the prison of L’Oudaya, in Marrakech.
"Contrary to certain allegations that have appeared in some local media, I.B and S.K are not entitled to any favors. Like the other prisoners, they receive the same treatment," said Hassan Houzane, director of the penitentiary, in an attempt to put an end to the rumors about the detention conditions of the two inmates.
"The dissemination of such allegations is explained by the attempts of these parties to instrumentalize the popularity of certain inmates to increase the audience and the number of views, even if it means conveying lies," added Hassan Houzane.
Ibtissam Batma, sister of the singer Dounia, had been placed in detention on March 13. According to the justice system, the two sisters and several other people are involved in the "Hamza mon bb" case, anonymous Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat accounts, used for blackmail and fraud purposes.
