Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Cleared of Fraud in ’Hamza mon bb’ Case, Still Faces Hacking Charges

The Moroccan singer, Dounia Batma, involved in the "Hamza mon bb" affair, is no longer being prosecuted for "fraud." This is the decision of the investigating judge at the court of first instance of Marrakech.
Dounia Batma is being prosecuted at liberty for offenses of "hacking the personal data processing system, in order to deliberately hinder its operation, to disrupt and modify the way it is processed."
She is also accused of having participated "in the dissemination, through information systems, of statements and images of people without their consent, as well as the dissemination of false facts with the intention of compromising the privacy of people, in order to defame them, or threaten them."
The judge decided to drop the charge of participation in "fraud" for Dounia Batma. However, the Moroccan singer is under surveillance. Her passport has been withdrawn, and she has been required to post bail. Her sister, Ibtisam, on the other hand, is being prosecuted for the same charges, with the exception of "fraud and participation in fraud." Her trial and that of two other suspects, who are in pre-trial detention in the "Hamza mon bb" case, will likely take place after the end of the state of emergency.
