Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Charged in ’Hamza Mon Bébé’ Social Media Scandal

The investigating judge at the court of first instance of Marrakech confirmed the charges against the singer Dounia Batma, particularly those related to participation in fraudulent access to the data processing system and the dissemination of false statements and images of others without their consent.
The decision of the judge in charge of the Hamza mon bb case, the date of which was not communicated by the site Alyaoum24, also concerns the star’s sister from Arab Idol, Ibtissam, and the fashion stylist, Aicha Ayach. For her part, Sophia Chakiri was prosecuted for fraud and usurpation of function governed by law.
However, the judge stressed that, due to the lack of tangible evidence to lead to the charge of fraud, the trial of the four accused will be postponed to a later date, pending the appearance of new elements.
Meanwhile, Ibtissam Batma, Aicha Ayach and Sophia Chakiri will be prosecuted in pre-trial detention, by decision of the investigating judge who also ordered to maintain the judicial control of Dounia Batma.
