Moroccan Celebrity Trial Delayed Again in "Hamza mon Bb" Blackmail Case

The trial of the "Hamza mon Bb" case has been postponed to July 28 next by the Court of First Instance in Marrakech, according to a judicial source.
For the 4th consecutive time, the judge of the criminal chamber of the same jurisdiction has decided to postpone the examination of this case in which Dounia Batma and her sister Ibtissam are being prosecuted.
According to the same source, two reasons can justify this latest postponement. The first is explained by the need for the presence of one of the plaintiffs for a direct confrontation with the accused. The other reason is explained by the request presented by the defense of the civil party in order to grant it more time to become acquainted with the ins and outs of the case and prepare its pleadings.
Moreover, the hearing on Tuesday, July 21 was attended by Dounia Batma, who categorically denied the accusations against her before the judges, while continuing to plead her innocence.
To recall, the defendants are being prosecuted in this case, each in their own right, for "participation in fraudulent access to the computer data system", "deliberate participation in obstructing the functioning of this system". They are also indicted for "dissemination of images and statements of others without consent", "dissemination of unfounded facts in order to harm the privacy of individuals and defamation", as well as for "participation and blackmail".
