Ryanair Flight Fiasco: Passengers Stranded in Rabat as Plane Lands in Fez Without Them

Passengers on a Ryanair flight bound for Fez experienced a confusing situation this weekend, after their plane was diverted to Rabat airport due to bad weather conditions.
This decision caused incomprehension and discontent among the travelers when the aircraft was finally able to land in Fez shortly after they had been disembarked in Rabat.
Initially, the flight was diverted due to a "sudden storm" that made landing in Fez impossible. Once in Rabat, the passengers and their luggage were disembarked, with the information that a transfer to their final destination would be provided by bus. However, the surprise was great when they learned that the same plane had taken off again for Fez and landed there without any problem, which cast doubt on the relevance of the initial decision.
When questioned about this apparent paradox, officials from Fez airport justified the procedure. They claimed that the diversion decision had been made "with the aim of ensuring passenger safety", as the storm effectively prevented any landing at the time of the initial approach. The subsequent improvement in weather conditions then allowed the plane to safely reach its destination.
Despite these explanations, many passengers remained angry. They question the level of transparency of the company and call for better communication in case of emergency. Some also call on the competent authorities to ensure that passenger rights are respected.
