Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Absent from ’Hamza Mon BB’ Appeal Trial Hearing

The third hearing of the appeal trial in the "Hamza mon bb" case was marked on Wednesday by the absence of Dounia Batma. Having just given birth, the singer was authorized by the judge not to appear.
Only Ibtissam Batma, Aicha Ayach and Sophia Chakiri, all 3 detained in the Oudayas prison in Marrakech, were summoned to appear that day before the criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal.
The accused are being prosecuted in the Hamza mon bb case, each for their own part, for "participation in fraudulent access to the computer data system", "deliberate participation in obstructing the functioning of this system", "dissemination of images and statements of others without consent", "dissemination of unfounded facts with the aim of harming the privacy of individuals and defamation", as well as for "participation and blackmail".
It should be recalled that Dounia Batma and her sister Ibtissam were sentenced to 8 and 12 months in prison respectively, accompanied by a fine of 10,000 dirhams. For their part, Aicha Ayach and Sophia Chakiri are serving sentences of 18 and 10 months in prison respectively.
