All the accused in this case were present at the last hearing of the appeal trial. Only the singer Dounia Batma was absent due to her recent childbirth, reports Alyaoum24. They are also being prosecuted for "dissemination of unfounded facts in order to harm the privacy of individuals and defamation", as well as for "participation and blackmail".
During this session held in camera due to the restrictive measures taken to counter the coronavirus, the lawyers of the accused pleaded the "non-responsibility" of their clients.
In this case that has been going on for several months, the court of first instance in Marrakech had sentenced the artist Dounia Batma to 8 months in prison.
