Police Officer Hospitalized After Unlicensed Tricycle Flees Checkpoint in Salé, Morocco

An investigation was opened on Saturday by the provincial judicial police service of the city of Salé to apprehend the driver of a tricycle and his companion. They are said to have refused to comply and resisted the elements of the public force, exposing them to danger.
It all started with the control operation of a tricycle without license plates in the Hay Salam neighborhood in Salé, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
Its driver opposed the control and dragged a police officer for several tens of meters, forcing another checkpoint, located on Zarbia Avenue in the same city. He caused injuries to the police officer, for which he was taken to the hospital, the same source said.
In addition, a video widely circulated on social networks and which revealed part of this security intervention is currently being exploited to identify the persons involved, arrest them and submit them to judicial investigations.
