Police Officer Fatally Stabbed Near Al Hoceima Prison, Suspect Arrested

A police officer succumbed to his injuries on Friday in Al Hoceima, following an attack. His hierarchy announces measures as a tribute.
A 28-year-old individual was arrested on Friday for having attacked a police officer with a bladed weapon. The incident took place in the morning around the local prison in the city of Al Hoceima. The victim police officer was on guard duty when he was stabbed. Before the act of aggression, the agent was trying to neutralize the individual who was throwing stones at a police vehicle intended to secure the perimeter of the local prison in the city of Al Hoceima, reports La Map.
The police officer died from his injuries, notes the press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The criminal investigation elements were able to subdue the aggressor and recover the bladed weapon. The alleged perpetrator of this crime is currently in custody pending the opening of a preliminary investigation. It will make it possible to determine the motivations of the aggressor, specifies the press release. The Director General of National Security has decided to pay posthumous tribute to the police officer. He also wishes to request the assistance and support of the human resources department and the Mohammed VI Foundation, for special assistance to his relatives.
