Police Officer Shoots Armed Man Showing Signs of Mental Illness in Boujdour

The suspect, who visibly showed signs of mental illness, was armed with a knife that he brandished on the public highway, to "dangerously threaten the lives of citizens".

Informed, the police sent a patrol to the scene to apprehend the individual and restore order, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). However, once on the spot, the police elements were faced with the fierce resistance of the suspect.
