Moroccan Police Officer Dies from Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound, Investigation Launched

A judicial investigation was opened on Tuesday, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to elucidate the circumstances in which a policeman was found injured at his home, by a bullet from his service weapon.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the policeman’s family had called an ambulance and the security services to report the detonation of the police officer’s service weapon at their home.
A few minutes later, the policeman was found injured in the head and unconscious, by his wife and children. Immediately taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, the statement said.
The policeman’s body was transferred to the morgue for the purposes of an autopsy, pending the results of the investigations, investigations and ballistics.
