Police Officer Critically Wounded in Azemmour Arrest; Two Suspects Detained

The Judicial Police Brigade of the Azemmour police station proceeded to arrest two individuals, one of whom is a repeat offender. They are suspected of being involved in a case of attempted murder of a police officer in the exercise of his duties, public drunkenness and intentional injury.
The arrest of the two suspects, aged 22 and 24, was not an easy task for the Judicial Police Brigade. In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) recounted the facts. According to it, the arrest of the two suspects caused a great noise due to their state of drunkenness, and endangered the lives of citizens with a bladed weapon. Indeed, they had fiercely resisted the police, one of them having seriously injured a police officer in the head. The latter was admitted to a hospital to receive intensive care.
In the aftermath, the two suspects had threatened to end their lives in order to avoid their arrest. It was in vain. The police elements arrested them and placed them in custody.
For now, the two defendants have been placed in custody. The investigation continues to know the details of this case.
