Police Bust Counterfeit Alcohol Ring in Agadir, Three Arrested

The judicial police elements in Agadir arrested three individuals on Friday for their alleged involvement in a case of counterfeit alcoholic beverages trafficking.
The main suspect was arrested in the Sidi Youssef neighborhood of Agadir, after violently resisting. The accused threatened the agents with a bladed weapon, while one of his co-defendants threatened them with an inflammable liquid.
The two suspects were finally arrested. The continuation of the investigation conducted in the context of this case led to the arrest of a third suspect and the seizure of 270 bottles of alcoholic beverages and 100 liters of alcohol at his home.
Two defendants were placed in custody. As for the third, he was placed under medical supervision at the hospital. The judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, continues to shed light on this case and to arrest all the persons involved.
