Police Bust Bank Robbery Ring in Casablanca and Settat

Four individuals aged 26 to 31 were arrested on Friday evening by elements of the judicial police department of Casablanca. They would be involved in the criminal activities of a group specialized in armed robberies.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) reports that these suspects were arrested in Casablanca and Settat, after meticulous research and field investigations made it possible to establish that they were involved in burglaries that affected two money transfer agencies, a commercial store and a transportation agency in the city of Settat.
In Casablanca, there were also similar thefts within a bank agency and businesses, as well as the perpetration of violent thefts and burglaries in stores in Derwa on the outskirts of Casablanca and in Ain Atiq near the city of Rabat.
Searches of the suspects’ homes allowed the police to seize a rental car, a gas cylinder and welding equipment used to break locks and seals, as well as gloves, masks, knives of various sizes and iron tools.
Pending the completion of the investigation opened to determine the degree of involvement of each one, list all the criminal acts in which they are involved, and arrest any other suspects, the four suspects have been taken into custody.
