Five Arrested in Casablanca for Football Fan Violence and Property Damage
Five individuals were arrested, on Saturday, by the elements of the Casablanca security police, for exchange of violence, damage to the property of others and endangering the safety of people.
These individuals, four of whom are minors, are suspected of belonging to factions of football club supporters, according to the DGSN, adding that they would be involved in the exchange of violence by throwing stones, damaging nine parked cars on the public highway.
Following the complaints of some residents, the police intervened, proceeding to the arrest of five suspects, as well as the seizure of a bladed weapon belonging to one of them, adds the DGSN. An investigation has been opened.
