Ouarzazate Unveils Winter Aid Plan as Cold Wave Threatens Amid Pandemic

The provincial monitoring committee in charge of monitoring the situation of localities threatened by the cold wave in the province of Ouarzazate has presented the plan to help the population.
This plan includes several measures so that in addition to the coronavirus pandemic, the population does not have to worry more about the cold wave. Omar Ben Ikken, the provincial director of equipment, stresses that all arrangements have been made at the level of the 13 decongestant vehicles. This is in addition to the other measures taken previously to come to the aid of the population, reports 2M.
The provincial health department has planned to accompany the mobile units through various medical services, said Badia El Abdellaoui, the director, stressing that these units will have the mission of going to those who cannot move. Basic necessities will also be distributed.
Youssef Bourras is the provincial director of national education. He explains that for the moment, 226 tons of firewood and blankets have been distributed. The authorities measure the extent of this cold period which comes in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, and are pulling out all the stops to support the population, the same source specifies.
