Severe Cold Snap to Hit Multiple Moroccan Provinces, Temperatures to Plunge Below Freezing

Cold weather with temperatures well below 0 degrees is expected from Thursday to Friday in several Moroccan provinces, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Tuesday.
In a special orange level bulletin, the DGM indicates that the cold weather should affect the provinces of Al Haouz, Al Hoceima, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Boulemane, Chefchaouen, Chichaoua, Figuid, Guercif, Ifrane and Jerada.
This drop in temperature is also expected in the provinces of Khénifra, Midelt, Taourit, the reliefs of Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Sefrou, Taroudant, Taza and Tinghir.
As for the reliefs of the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Midelt, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Tinghir, Al Haouz and Chichaoua, they will be affected, on Wednesday, by minimum temperatures below 0 degrees. In addition, a new drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday and Monday on the reliefs and high plateaus, the Meteorology Department specifies.
