Olympic Legend El Guerrouj Slams Morocco’s Athletics Decline After Poor African Championships

Moroccan athletics is doing poorly, according to Hicham El Guerrouj, who was outraged by the results recorded at the recent African Athletics Championships.
The former glory of Moroccan athletics, Hicham El Guerrouj, is saddened by the poor management that characterizes the discipline. For him, this is what explains the recent debacle. In his denunciation, he mentioned the record of Morocco at the 22nd African Athletics Championships held from June 8 to 12, 2022 in Saint-Pierre, Mauritius, where the athletes were only able to win "three meager medals" (one silver and two bronze), occupying "a poor place at the bottom of the ranking".
On social media, the former champion simply commented "No Comment" under the medal table. A ball in hand seized by several Internet users, denouncing the current state of national athletics. Some even demanded a rapid change in the management team for "disastrous" management.
