Morocco Sends 15 Athletes to World Championships in Eugene, Including Top Steeplechasers

Fourteen men and one woman will defend Morocco’s colors at the 18th edition of the World Athletics Championships, scheduled from July 15 to 24 in Eugene, United States.
In the men’s team, there are big names in athletics such as Soufiane El Bakkali, Mohamed Tindouf and Salah Eddine Benyazid in the 3,000m steeplechase. In the 800m category, there are Abdllati El Guess, Mouad Zahafi and El Hassan Moujah. On the start of the 1,500m, we find Abdelatif Sadiki, Anass Essayi and El Hassan Moujah.
In the 5,000m, there will be Soufiane Bouquantar and Hicham Akankam, while Talbi Zouhair will be lined up in the 10,000m. The Moroccan athletes El Araaby Reda, Hamza Sahli and Othmane El Goumri have registered for the marathon event. The only woman participating in this edition of the World Athletics Championships is Assia Raziki. And it will be in the 800m.
Will these athletes allow Morocco to win even more medals this year? In its previous participation, Morocco came out with 30 medals, including 10 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze.
