Netflix Series to Spotlight Morocco’s World Cup Captain Romain Saïss

The journey of certain teams, including that of Morocco at the 2022 World Cup, has inspired a series that will be broadcast next summer on Netflix. Romain Saïss is one of the protagonists of this series.
In addition to the captain of the Atlas Lions, those of Brazil, Wales and Croatia have been chosen for this series entitled "Captains". It will allow viewers to relive the exploits of Morocco in Qatar. How a team that was not among the favorites was able to defy all predictions to find itself in the last four of the World Cup, that of the four best teams in the world.
According to the British daily The Telegraph, the star of this documentary will be the captain of the Atlas Lions, Romain Saïss. The series will certainly come back to his exit on a stretcher during the match against Portugal. "The journey of Romain Saïss and the troubles of Thiago Silva with Brazil have been captured by the directors of the previous series Sunderland ’Till I Die," the newspaper says.
The series was made in partnership with the FIFA+ streaming service, which provided images of the competition, interviews with the families of the main protagonists. It is a film that will allow Romain Saïss, captain of Morocco, Gareth Bale of Wales and Luka Modrić of Croatia to share their different experiences, emotions and ambitions during the competition.
