Mysterious Horse Deaths in Morocco Spark Poisoning Investigation

Five horses were found dead in Settat under rather strange circumstances. Two people were also taken to the hospital in critical condition. An investigation is underway to determine if it is a case of poisoning.
The macabre discovery was made by a farmer west of the city of Settat. He suspects that the animals were poisoned after drinking water from a basin used to water the mint, reports Hespress. This was followed by the mobilization of the local authority services and its auxiliaries from the sixth administrative annex of the capital of Chaouia, as well as elements from the judicial police of the third police district, the technical and scientific police team, and representatives from the health services of the municipality of Settat. Upon arrival, they examined the dead horses and took the necessary measures.
The technical and scientific police elements took samples of water from the agricultural basin. They also seized several tools used to water the horses.
As for the two individuals admitted to the hospital in critical condition, they underwent medical tests as part of the investigation opened to elucidate the mystery of the incident.
