Tragic Collision Near Berrechid, Morocco Leaves 5 Dead After Marriage Proposal

A violent collision occurred between two light vehicles on the night of Saturday near Berrechid, killing five people and seriously injuring three others.
The accident was caused by a utility vehicle transporting seven people to Had Soualem that collided with another utility vehicle carrying one person, coming from the opposite direction, on provincial road No. 3005 near Douar El Khadra. Five people were killed on the spot, reports Hespress. The occupants of one of the vehicles were returning from a marriage proposal.
The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Had Soualem and the Berrechid brigade of the Settat region, as well as a representative of the local authority and a civil protection team, went to the scene of the accident where they found the three injured in critical condition. The latter were urgently transferred to a hospital in Casablanca to receive the necessary care.
The bodies of the victims were transported to the Settat morgue for the purposes of the autopsy. The Royal Gendarmerie of Berrechid has opened an investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
