Mother and Teen Daughter Arrested in Casablanca for Murder and Body Burning

The elements of the criminal brigade of the judicial police and the judicial brigade of Ben M’Sik in Casablanca arrested, in Tifelt, a woman and her 14-year-old daughter. They would be involved in a case of assault and battery resulting in death, associated with the voluntary arson of the victim’s remains in order to erase the traces of the crime.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that the judicial police services of the Ben M’Sik security district in Casablanca found the victim’s remains on Saturday, April 10, bearing traces of an assault with a blunt object and deliberately set on fire.
Following this macabre discovery, the police services immediately launched intense searches and investigations which allowed them to identify and arrest the two suspects, on Sunday morning in the city of Tifelt, in possession of personal effects and identity documents belonging to the victim. The two are mother and daughter and did not provide the investigators with the reasons why they would have committed this act.
The adult defendant was placed in custody, and the minor was placed under police control at the disposal of the investigation opened to elucidate the ins and outs of this case, concludes the DGSN.
