Rabat Police Investigate Family in Brutal Murder of 67-Year-Old Woman

The prefectural criminal brigade of the city of Rabat opened an investigation on Saturday, following the death of a 67-year-old woman. A couple and their minor child are the suspects in this crime, the causes of which are still unknown.
According to the first elements of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, the main suspect, aged 43, is suspected of voluntary homicide for having tortured his 67-year-old mother, in complicity with his wife and his minor son, indicates a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The judicial police have video recordings made using a mobile phone showing the naked and bound victim with traces of blows on different parts of her body, adds the same source.
The two adults were taken into custody, while the minor suspect was placed under judicial supervision, pending the completion of the investigation which will determine the circumstances of this case and the degree of involvement of each of the suspects, concludes the press release.
