Morocco’s Ziyech in Race to Recover for CAN Round of 16 Clash with South Africa
The Atlas Lions held a new training session without Hakim Ziyech, who is injured. The absence of the Galatasaray player is worrying and raises questions about his participation in the round of 16 against South Africa.
Ziyech was injured on Wednesday during the match against Zambia, as part of the third and final day of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Côte d’Ivoire 2023). The medical staff of the Moroccan team is doing their best to get him back in shape before the round of 16 match against South Africa, scheduled for this Tuesday at 9pm at the Laurent Pokou stadium in San Pedro.
The Moroccan international is undergoing rehabilitation sessions to resume training with his teammates as soon as possible. The Atlas Lions trained again yesterday. To win this crucial match against South Africa, the national coach, Walid Regragui, insists during these sessions on technical and tactical aspects.
