Galatasaray Denies Ziyech’s Request to Rehab in Netherlands Amid Transfer Rumors

After a flying start, Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, who was injured in the ankle during the match between Morocco and Zambia during the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Côte d’Ivoire 2024), won by the Atlas Lions (1-0), is struggling in Turkey. His request to continue his rehabilitation in the Netherlands was categorically refused by Galatasaray.
The relationship between Hakim Ziyech and Galatasaray is no longer working. The Atlas Lion has asked the Turkish club’s management for permission to continue his rehabilitation for an injury in the Netherlands, but it has refused the player’s request and insisted that he continue his treatment in Florya in Istanbul, Turkish media report, revealing that the 30-year-old player wants to leave Galatasaray in the next summer transfer window.
Substituted due to injury during the match between Morocco and Zambia (1-0), Ziyech was absent for the round of 16 match of the CAN Côte d’Ivoire 2023 between the Atlas Lions and the Bafana Bafana, which ended in a victory for South Africa (0-2). This injury will keep him off the pitch for four weeks.
Ziyech joined Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish champion, on August 19 on loan with a purchase option. A signing that put an end to his misadventure at Chelsea. He has scored four goals and provided two assists in 14 matches this season.
