Ziyech Resumes Training with Galatasaray After AFCON Injury and Morocco Exit

The Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, has returned to his Turkish club, Galatasaray, where he has resumed training after Morocco’s elimination in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
The information is confirmed by the Turkish newspaper "Fanatik" which specifies that Ziyech took part in Saturday’s training with Galatasaray, who are preparing for the upcoming competitions in the Turkish championship.
The Moroccan striker had been injured during the match against Zambia (1-0) counting for the third and last day of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire. He did not recover in time for the round of 16 match lost against South Africa (0-2).
The same source also announced that the Turkish club has decided to keep the Moroccan until the end of the season, recalling that Ziyech joined Galatasaray last summer on loan with a purchase option. His contract expires in the summer of 2025.
